It's widely believed that most parents hate to see their children grow up so quickly and sometimes refuse to believe the evidence in front of their eyes. I guess when the kids are in their 20's, married, and otherwise gone, we have to face the facts - they're grown.
However, in some rare instances, we want the growth process to go just a little faster. What, heresy, you say? Hear me out.
I give you the evidence below that definitely shows that our "little one" has not quite reached maturity yet. Judge for yourselves...

This used to be Montana's pad that he occasionally used as his "love muffin" - don't ask. But the mystery is there's a zipper here that he managed to undo. How, you ask? Easy - just chewed up the zipper and small area, stuck the big shnoz in and moved the zipper down. Amazing. In recent days, we'd thought that he would actually lay down on it - I know, a novel thought - but he did a few times with this particular item...

However, despite the fact that he's as big as a moose, and eats like a horse, we're just not seeing the maturity we'd hoped for (desperately...). His new nickname is Hoover - LOL. Need further evidence?

Yes, contrary to popular belief, sheetrock and wood are staples in a dog's diet, along with socks...
And here's Zoe's opinion on the matter...

That, BTW, is a meow, not a roar, as it would suggest...though trust me, she has that capability, also.
So there you have it...now can you blame me for wanting our "sweetie" to mature a little faster??
I thought you'd agree.
What can I say? I didn't even show his room. Suffice to say that two door jambs later, a couple of walls, some furniture, a phone wire, an electric blanket, and an odd assortment of socks, towels and paper, our house won't be the same for a while. You know, sort of like with your kids....
Yes, this is a stitching blog (mostly), and I do have a few finishes. This is Lisa's RR in the Friendship Sampler RR. Her piece and someone else's were kept by one of the stitchers and never to be seen again. Don't get me started on this one, but Lisa the Intrepid, jumped back in again and we're all trying to catch her up.

Also finished a freebie by Dahlia from the
Anne-les-petites-croix website. It was very springy, so I changed the colors around to get this fall look. The Silkweaver fabric, Golden Promise, went really well, so now I'm trying to figure out how I want to finish it.

And finally, we do have a new member in our family, for whom I'm babysitting this weekend while my DD and SIL celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Has it really been a year already? Let me officially introduce Mya, a six pound pomeranian, with the energy of five three-year-olds. And yes, my DD put a girlie t-shirt on her and thoroughly enjoyed it. I swear I'm innocent of this travesty.

But she's a cutie. She loves Montana, albeit a little cautiously, and normally from the safety of Mom's presence, but he's not picky - he'll take what he can get.

Thanks for visiting and listening to my tales. Your friendships make it all worth while here in blogland. :)
