As Dorothy Said.....There's No Place Like Home!

My Friendship RR is home again after starting its journey in Mar. 2009, and I love it, love it! It made it through various bumps in the road and a few delays, but it's home. Already working on finishing up some of these other hearts before it goes back out for some new adventures. The title at the top is what Cindy wrote on my envelope, so I "borrowed" it. :)
The past week or so has been a great mail week - new stash and surprises.

Look what the RAK Fairy sent me! Aren't they beautiful? I love these limited editions from Carrie's Creations.

After seeing these Medieval Ladies from Joan Elliot at Kathy's house, I had to have them. Saw one being stitched on someone's blog last year, but they were only in the magazine then. So I'm wondering exactly how many there are altogether...

Also picked up some older Carriage House charts that were on Etsy....and my PTP FOTM came this week, too.

Queen Mya has come for a visit - see her perched on her throne? But she's so excited...because this is her first SNOW!!!! For those of you that are sick of snow, disregard this bubbling over description of the event. We don't get snow too often here in central NC, so it's a big thing for us. So far, about 5 in. and sleeting most of today. And yes, the city is pretty shut down, but at least it's Saturday.
Montana is loving the visit and snow, as he doesn't remember his first one last year. He goes pure nuts in it outside!

And here's the happy couple after taking the dogs out last night. This time they left early enough to escape driving in the bad weather. The last exciting event is that we ordered DD's wedding dress yesterday and it's soooo beautiful!

And as every good Southern woman knows to do, I've collected the snow (before sleet) to keep for snow cream later today - Yum, yum!

Your RR is so pretty, Carolyn--what a nice testament to your stitching friendships! Glad you're enjoying the snow--keep it down south for a while, OK??

Woo hooo! We got some, too - but sadly there was not enough "good snow" for cream. Your pups seem pleased, Pixie is not! I know you are tickled to have your RR back - it can get tense when there are 'issues'. Loving your stash!
Stay warm!

I love your RR - that is such a great idea for one! And great stashing - I hadn't seen those Joan Elliott's before, they look really interesting :)

As for snow, you can just keep that stuff up your way - got enough of it before we went south, and still get too much :)

No snow here...it's HOT here and I sit under the airco. I'll enjoy the pictures of snow though. The puppies both look adorable.
Great RR and great new stash.
Your daughter looks SO lovely. She will make a stunning bride.
Never heard about snow cream...lol. You have to explain that a bit more.

Congrats on the RR...I'm sure you were so excited to receive it back home. The dogs look like they are having so much fun in the snow. I'd like to know what snow cream is too. There is no snow where I live and I've never heard of that.

Snow cream??? Please elaborate... I'm Canadian and I've got lots of snow, am I missing out on some great treat?

you got some great stash in the mail. I have always lived where there is snow but never heard of snow cream.

Your Friendship RR is looking great. The snow was fun while it lasted, but got as much sleet as snow in my area. I'll be at home at least another day waiting for about 2 inches of compacked snow/ice that's covering my downhill driveway to thaw.

the RR looks great how did you start it and was there a specific pattern?

Always a relief to have your piece make it home again! Great stash enhancement from you and the RAK fairy! We've really only had 5" of snow twice this year. We can still see our grass! So besides being cold, not too bad for MI. Will love seeing the wedding pictures!

Oh carolyn "Snow Cream" !!!!! i haven't had any of that in many years. daddy used to set out an empty pot everytime it snowed and when it was full he would make snow cream for us all. what wonderful memories. Unfortunately I never paid attention to how he made it. I know he used vanilla and milk but I don't remember what else.
Your Friendship Sampler is lovely. Is that a chart or just hearts from everyone's heart? Sounds like a fun venture.
Nice stash. you lucky duck -- happy stitching !!!
DD and her intended look very happy .
