After the gloomy weather we've had, it's a beautiful day with the sun shining. Thank goodness! All I can say is bring on Spring!!
Our stitching group has been taking an annual trip to Williamsburg, VA, to just stitch and shop at the Haus Tirol. What a wonderful shop with such sweet owners! We try to get up there a few times a year. They have lovely stash with nice variety. Highly recommend this shop if you're in the area.
I've had a little time to do some stitching lately, so here are a few progress reports.
First up is Shepherd's Bush "Glad Tidings" fob. I do love that little sheep.
Next is "Three Ships," also by SB - the 2013 retreat piece.
And lastly is this darn Harley Davidson emblem piece for DH. It's a labor of love, but it's so boring, and I am unmotivated at the moment...
White, 32 ct., over one, with only three colors, one of which is more white. Only time I really stitch on it is Mon. night for an hour or so. At this rate, we might both still be alive by the time I finish. LOL
And now for the news! DD is going to have a baby boy in 5-6 weeks. I'm going out to CA at the end of March to stay a while. Can you say excited???
I hope they're prepared, because all the families are going out to see the new little tyke on separate weekends. I hear exhausted in there somewhere.
Here she is in her finery one evening at 32 weeks.
And lastly, thank you for stopping by; I'd love to hear from you. It's been over a year since I've posted any stitchy news, and it feels so good to actually be stitching a little more regularly. :)
BTW, Think Spring!!

Ohhh a little one coming ,congrats and I am sure you will do a fine job of spoiling him😃. Your stitching piece is very pretty.
congrats on the new baby to be...my goodness, she barely looks pregnant! She must feel super!
Enjoy your time out there...
I hear you on the 'boring to stitch' piece!!! I have a few of those in my WIP pile!!!
Congrats to your family on the new arrival! How exciting :)
Your stitching is beautiful!!
You have great projects going on - pretty SB pieces! I know you are excited for your new grandson to arrive - it won't be long now!
I am with you on the spring - I hate to say it, but I am SICK of rain...
I haven't been to the shop in Williamsburg- we will have to stop by there before we move away from this area! Congrats on the coming bundle of joy!
It's good to see you posting again- I have been neglecting my blog as well.
So you were at Shepherd's Retreat last year too? We'll have to try to meet each other next time!
Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your grandbaby!
Nice projects!

WHOOHOO!! Congratulations Granny :)
Can't wait to see the pictures, I'm sure he'll be a handsome baby boy!
Yay to see you back!
Congrats on your new grandchild!
Love the stitching but I can see how the Harley one bores you lol.
Beautiful stitching! What fun to have a stitching group to get together with.
Congrats on the new baby coming into your lives!
Congrats to you and your daughter on the soon to arrive baby boy. How exciting!! The Shepherd's Bush pieces are so pretty. Lovely stitching.
Lovely stitching! Congrats on the grandchild!
Congratulations! I know you are excited on becoming a grammy!
Your stitching looks great too.. happy stitching.
Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby.
Your stitching is so pretty.

Okay, seriously?? Your daughter looks that good that far along in her pregnancy?! I think I'd have had more kids if I looked that good! I looked like Shamu. It was bad. Best of luck to her with the delivery and fighting of all the people who want to love on that baby. ;)
Lovely stitching!
I'm so glad you're back to posting, Carolyn!! Really great to see all of your pretty stitching and catch up on the family news... How exciting that your daughter will be making you a grandma soon--I would be over the moon if that would to happen for me some day. (But, it sure doesn't look like it the way my sons are going...) Please keep us posted on the baby--enjoy your time in CA!
Nice progress on your WIPs.
How exciting! I'd be headed to Cali, too. Your enjoyment will be such a relief to DD-SIL. Give him a big snuggle from each of his "stitching aunties" (that should be quite a few).
Your projects look lovely :) I can understand about the 'boredom' of some pieces..pick a new one that you won't let yourself start until you finish the Harley design, lol
I'm envious of your annual stitching trip; it sounds like a wonderful time.
Glad Tidings is so cute- love the sheep, too.
Congrats on the soon to be new addition to your family!

Oh, how happy to have a new grandchild!
And it's nice to see you stitching again. One of these days, I'll start stitching again, too. For now, I'm picking up my camera instead.
Life flows.
I'm SO with you on the Think Spring!
Carolyn, your daughter is gorgeous. Congrats on the baby! I hope we get to see pictures. Lovely stitching-I have gotten away from Shepherd's Bush some, however I love their thread conversions.
Everything looks so fun and wonderful. I'm so glad for you. I know what it is to work on a piece that you know will be loved but that isn't all that much fun. You have my sympathy. :-)
Your daughter is slimmer at 32 weeks than I am NOW, and I've never had a baby. Good on her; she's beautiful.
Wow a stitching update! Guess you can't keep the secret that you're stitching again anymore! You picked some pretty pieces to do. I made a Harley pattern for someone in the ILCS group. Don't know if she ever stitched it or not. You will LOVE being a grandma!!!!!And they will appreciate the family coming and going, as long as you do more than just love the baby!!! Everyone likes a meal cooked for them, LOL!
I’ve very envious of your trip to that craft shop, it looks like it’s filled with so many wonderful treasures. There’s nothing like that near to where I live in the UK, the nearest is Hobby Craft (a bit like Michael’s) but they don’t have a big selection so I have to try and go to the stitch shows each year and spend a fortune stocking up on kits.
Your projects are lovely and I really love the little sheep too, he’s so sweet.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I look forward to seeing what you get up to next.
Happy Stitching!
Sue
Carolyn good to find you blogging again! Congrats on such spectacular news that you've got a grandbaby coming soon!
Lovely stitching!
I did one project on 32 count. The only way I'd do another project on that count is if I used my magnifier I received for my birthday. That was hard on my eyes!
I stitched one project on 32 count material and struggled the entire project. I think the only way I'd stitch that count again was if I used my split magnifier I received for my birthday. Your stitching looks great!
What a wonderful time you and your stitching friends must have enjoyed together.
Lovely SB stitching progress too.
How exciting that very soon you will have a new little one in your family. Your daughter is so beautiful.
Blessings!
Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your grandson!
Love the stitching; and your trip sounds like a ton of fun.
Great news and lovely stitching.x
Good to see you back! Enjoy the new life to come :)
