Going to the chapel........#2

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married.......

The wedding is this weekend and all is set; at least, I sure hope so. :) It's hard to believe in 23 short years my baby boy has gone from this....

to this....
Notice the peephole below his ear - almost looks like an earring. LOL We take off Fri. AM to start the festivities. They're both so excited - I'm a very sentimental person, so I'm not sure how I'm going to do at the wedding. Music is what normally gets me and the song they're having sung is one of my all time favorites from 1995-96, "If You Could See What I See" by Geoff Moore and the Distance. They were a contemporary Christian band back then. Our fairly new SIL is singing it and he has a beautiful voice. So I have a feeling there will be tears....

I was given the choice of the song for the mother-son dance. Mine's a little unorthodox as it's a really sweet love song, but I'm asking the DJ to preface it with why it was chosen. One of my most favorite memories is Matthew walking around the house at three years old singing Restless Heart's "I'll Still Be Loving You" all the time. Of course, his version included lubbin, instead of loving, and that's what was so cute. So I asked them to play this song. Hmmm...could be another tear jerker for me!

My office is closing it's doors March 31, so it's off to find a new job when I get back and I sincerely hope time to get back to some stitching! Until then, everyone take care and God bless.

Carolyn,

Congratulations on your son's wedding-- your reason for the mother son dance music is adorable-- I remember that song and know that it must have been adorable sung by a three year old. Too bad you do not have that on tape to play as part of the preface (although I am sure your son is glad that you don't... lol).

Your dog is adorable, and I am amazed by Montana's flexibility-- do not worry about the frog looking legs doing bad things to your stitching-- I live in a house with a real live frog and he only leaps into my stitching occasionally!

I am sorry to hear about your job. I will be praying that you find the right job for you quickly.

Hugs!

What a cute couple they are! I love their smiles!!

I haven't known too many Moms who didn't shed a tear or two at their child's wedding. It is a big moment for everyone. I'm getting all teary eyed just thinking about it! lol

I know that you will enjoy the day though. It goes by so quickly, make sure to savor every moment, and let us all know details upon your return!

Congratulations to the Happy Couple and the families, too. Do you have a special hanky -- from the sound of just the singing, you're gonna need it. Doesn't love usually make us shed a tear? I'm pretty sure it would me for my VERY single 27 year old son! Enjoy the festivities, and welcome your new daughter!

Have fun at the wedding, and if you cry you cry. At least they are happy tears. Your son is very handsome young man, and I wish him and his new bride all the joy they can stand.

Hope everything goes as planned at the wedding and that you have a wonderful time. Bring a box or two of kleenex with you just in case. LOL

Sorry to hear about the job; hopefully you will find something rather quickly when you get back home.

Can't wait to see the pictures. They are such a handsome couple. Can't believe how much your daughter in law looks like your daughter. First time I saw a pic of the girls together I was convinced that they were sisters. And he will always lubbin you. (which is SO cute)Enjoy your weekend :)
And I hope you'll find a new job soon.

Congrats to the couple...

I know what you mean about tears and weddings... (my baby cousin got married right after my dad died and played butterfly kisses for her daughter/father dance and that caused extreme tears and does to this day when I think of it.)

I also know that any event with our babies causes tears... at least for me it does.

A new chapter in your life begins with the formation of a new family, and the ending of your job. God has something good in store for you, I'm sure!

I am sure there will be many tears, but what joyous tears they will be. I just can not imagine how much of an emotional basket case I will be when this time comes for my kids. I do hope you plan to share some photos of the wedding as I can not wait to see them!

I do hope all goes well with the job hunting!!
