Zentangle!

Zentangle
design by Kirsten Schmitt and Elke Reiss for the Marquoir Yahoo Group
Zentangle was stitched with permission by the designers in the

Yay! I finished Zentangle last night - I do love this design. I'd planned to start the second Zentangle, but I'm debating how. Do I stitch this one in the same color thread and fabric, or change it up? Originally, I'd hoped to stitch them identically and frame them in a double mat. However, the size of the second one is too large. Decisions, decisions. :)

It's actually a beautiful day here. We did have thunder several times yesterday; hmmm, wonder if it will bring snow? Too bad the forecast shows 50 degree weather for the next ten days!

WOW, that is beautiful. If you want do the next one in complimentary colors and put them next to each other after framing.

Love it! It would be hard for me not to do a second one. I would continue the same threads it you plan to hang them on the same wall.
It's hitting 60degrees in the Upstate, SC. Love this Sunshine!

That's a great piece! I love all the little different stitches inside the design. I'm however no help on trying to figure out what to do with a bigger piece that you want to mat side by side!

That is too cool. Fantastic finish! My thought would be to use the same colors, with similar mat, and frame to make a collage - you know there will be more! OK - is there something hiding in the first that I don't see other than the flower? I see the scissors prominently in the second.

WOW! Zentangle is beautiful!! Great Job!

Zentangle 2, how about stitching the scissors in gold or silver and the rest in the same color as #1? I do like the monotone example too... Glad it's not me having to make the final decision!LOL
Good Luck!

All I can say is WOW!! I love them both, but the one done with the scissors in the middle is my favorite. I love the colors of the other one. You did a lovely job, really, it must have been a lot of counting to make it look just right! Well done! *Hugs*

Beautiful! Congrats on your finish. How about pic one of the colours from the awesome floss colour you used and stitch it in that to at least compliment it!

Hi Carolyn,
It is beautiful I had never heard of a Zenatngle till I saw it on your blog, how I wish I had more hours in the day and more days to stitch because that Zentangke would be on my list of 'to-dos' !!
Waiting to see it framed.
And looks like spring is with you there, milder here in Coventry UK but no snowdrops flowering yet which I think heralds the spring.
Love and Blessings

That is SO cool, Carolyn! I've started doing Zentangles with pen (supposed to relieve stress) Doing one with threads would be a lot of fun too! (although I don't know if it would be as relaxing! lol)

Thanks for sharing this with us, and for introducing to me, an new way for me to do them! What fun!!

Great job on the stitching. Hey, we have about 18" of snow here if you want to make more of that snow cream LOL

I love your blog and love all your stitching works. I saw your Zentangle and fell in love with it. I was excited about the group you posted but am afraid to try and join not sure they'll allow newcomers who aren't french or french speaking. Congratulations on your DD's upcoming wedding.
Take care, Michelle

Can you tell me who the designer is, or where the pattern can be located? I would love to try stitching a Zentangle!
