March Madness

Nope, I don't mean basketball, even though I do live in ACC territory. I mean After Nashville's market. You know - the mad dash to see how much we can acquire and grab and stitch as fast as our hot little hands will allow us! I did partake...ahem, greatly...in this particular dash and it was sooo fun. Stitchingwise....
This is Lyne's RR before I started...

And A Forest Grew
Rosewood Manor

and after...

This was a really fun stitch - moved pretty quickly, too. Looks like I'm going to have to pull my own AAFG out and start on it again.

A little closer look at my part...

I've also been stitching on SB's Quaker's Heart. Pulled this out when I flew to my brother's in OK to visit. Really was able to stitch quite a bit on the planes; need to finish this up.

Went to a stitch-in last night with our Monday night stitching group - lots of fun. Decided to just take a NEW, quick, easy stitch, which didn't require much thought. You know how it is when you chat with friends. After three times stitching and frogging (the border -seriously, how hard can it be??!!), I called it a night. Sometimes you gotta know when it's a done deal...
But it was a blast, as always. Thanks, Kim, for lending your gorgeous house to us all. :)

The RR is looking great. I'm sure the receipent will be very pleased. I too have trouble putting needle to fabric while hanging out with friends sometimes. I usually try to save large areas of fill in areas in charts when I go to my stitch-ins.

The RR looks great :) I find it impossible to chat and stitch which is why if I go to craft I take a no brainer for me (crochet)

I love your RR, that's BAP! I usually have to take my knitting while chatting, there's a little less counting involved. Glad you enjoyed your visit with your brother. It's always nice to see family from far away.

great stitching on AAFG / RR. This is such a beautiful piece. Someday I would like to stitch it for myself, maybe after I retire. Sounds like you had fun stitching with friends. I try to take something that I don't have to concentrate on when I do that, otherwise the frog followsme around. hee hee hee

You did a wonderful job on the RR, I'll have to put some thought into what I send you! LOL Nice progress on the airplane piece too. Love taking a small piece and having it done by the time I get back. Makes the travel time seem less mundane.

What a cute analogy...the mad dash for the new stuff is like the mad dash to March madness!

Nice stitching, Carolyn. Too funny about the stitching, frogging, stitching, frogging. At least you had a great time :)

Great work on Lyne's RR, Carolyn! And it always seems like visiting takes priority over stitching at get-togethers. I'm still surprised that we got stitching in AND finishing done at Jubilee!
